On September 19, 2021, he was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group Black Level under the stage name Chanha. On December 23, he announced that he would leave the group due to health reasons via an Instagram story. On February 27, 2023, he was revealed as a member of the WEUS Entertainment's upcoming boy group WEUS Boyz (later known as WEUS) under his birth name Chanwook.

They debuted on April 3 with the single album "Purple Sky". He left the group sometime in June. On December 9, 2023, he was introduced as a member of the upcoming boy group DAYCHILD under the stage name Roy.
