On August 14, 2023, he was introduced as a contestant on MBC M's boy group survival show Fan Pick. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eighth and final episode, which aired on October 18, 2023. On September 26, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Project 7.
On December 20, he was eliminated in episode 11 after ranking 30th place. On November 20, 2025, Taehwan was introduced as a member of the INTHE X Project. On February 25, 2026, a teaser was released revealing that Taehwan had become a member of KEYVITUP.
The group will make their debut on April 8 with their self-titled EP.
