On August 27, 2022, he was revealed as a member of the pre-debut group M. I. C, after finishing their live concert M.
I. C Pre-View. In December 2022, it was suspected that he left the group as they had removed his name on their YouTube channel description.
On December 29, Hojin was announced as a contestant for the survival show Boys Planet, which premiered on February 2, 2023. On March 2, he was eliminated in episode 5 after ranking 65th place. On October 1, 2025, the group announced that he had changed his stage name from Dien to Hojin.
