On September 11, 2001, Jumin, Donghwa, Youngwon, Yubin and Woohyun had their debut stage as K-Pop on Mnet's music show Showking M. This was followed by the release of their first studio album K'Pop on October 10, with "0. 5" serving as the title track, along with "Shadow" and "Game" as the follow-up songs.

On October 8, 2002, the group released their second studio album Cu@K-Pop 2 with the title track "Mirage" and the follow-up song "Youth". On September 22, 2004, K-Pop broke their long silence since their February 2002 concert due to Woohyun's facial injury and returned with their third studio album Memories, with "The Scent Of Memories" serving as the title track. In June 2005, the group became inactive and the members began enlisting for mandatory military service.
