In late 2015, NA Entertainment created official SNS accounts for INX and began promoting the group primarily through Daum Café. The first member, Jeon Jae Beom, was announced on July 22, 2015. Subsequently, Hae Keun was announced on July 29, T.
A on August 5, and XI. N on August 12. The company had previously stated their intention to form a five-member lineup, revealing one member each Wednesday.
However, on the expected date for the fifth member's announcement, a post on the group's fancafé instead indicated that the lineup had been finalized. After completing this four-member lineup, the group quickly entered a silent period. Their last update was posted on September 21, after which all official communication ceased, and the group was presumed to have disbanded before debut.
On March 16, 2016, an interview featuring trainees with upcoming debuts included INX, now with a completely new five-member lineup. During the segment, three members were individually interviewed: Lee Sangho, Koo Bonkuk, and Kim Jiwoong. Months later, on July 19, their SNS pages were revamped, and a news article confirmed the group's debut for August 2 with the song "오나," alongside pre-debut promotions in China.
Later that day, they gradually began introducing the revamped lineup over the following days, starting with Sangho on July 19, followed by Junyong and Bonkuk on July 20, Jinam on July 21, and finishing with Win on July 23. On August 2, INX officially debuted with their first digital single, "Alright. " Their debut stage was held later the same day on Music Bank.
In September, it was announced that INX would expand their promotions across Asia, starting in Taiwan and continuing to China, Japan, and Vietnam. On March 20, 2017, NA Entertainment announced that INX would make their first comeback in April. Later, on March 23, teasers were posted on INX's SNS, announcing their comeback date as April 4 with their second digital single, "2GETHER.
" On March 31, it was announced that INX had signed with the Japanese entertainment label CJ Victor Entertainment ahead of future Japanese promotions, with a planned Japanese debut set for July. On April 4, INX made their first comeback with their second digital single, "2gether. " On July 12, it was announced that the group would officially debut in Japan on July 19, following the previous announcement in March.
On the scheduled date, they debuted in Japan with the single album "2GETHER -Japanese Ver-. " Following their Japanese debut, the group continued performing until ceasing promotional activities in August. Later, on November 30, 2017, member Jinam announced through an Instagram Live that the group had disbanded.
On June 22, 2018, media reports revealed that a boy group referred to as “Group A” had filed a lawsuit against their agency on June 20 seeking termination of their exclusive contracts. The members alleged severe neglect and multiple contractual violations, including being required to personally cover expenses such as hair, makeup, and cosmetic procedures, which the agency categorized as “self-care. ” They also claimed they were denied basic necessities, including meals and daily living essentials, and stated that an employee who requested meal support on their behalf was subsequently forced to resign.
Later the same day, it was confirmed that “Group A” was INX, and reports stated that the 25th Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of the members in a lawsuit filed against the agency’s CEO, identified as “Mr. A,” granting judicial confirmation of the nonexistence of the group’s exclusive contracts. Following the disbandment of INX, the members went their separate ways.
