On October 31, 2025, iNKODE released a video featuring Masato, Sen, Sun Jia Yang and Peng Jin Yu, which seemed to hint at the agency's upcoming boy group. On November 19, iNKODE officially introduced Sena, Hyunmin, and Sen as part of the INTHE X Project which will create a new boy group. It was also reported that the project will feature a total of 10 trainees including former Boys II Planet contestants Masato, Sen, Sun Jia Yang and Peng Jin Yu, as well as six other trainees.
The next day, Teru, Taehwan and Peng Jin Yu were officially introduced, followed by Sun Jia Yang, Masato, Rukia and Mano. On December 23, Jaein was introduced. On February 25, 2026, a teaser was released revealing that the members would be divided into two groups with different concepts: KEYVITUP with a trendy and dynamic concept and VAY ONN with a dreamy and fresh concept.
