On May 19, 2021, TaeYeong was revealed as a trainee under Just COLOR Studio and became a member of their trainee group, Just COLOR. On December 12, 2021, he was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group AQA. They debuted on April 16, 2022 with the first single album "Wonder".
On March 24, 2024, Startree announced that the group had disbanded. On April 13, 2024, he was revealed as a member of T:EV.
