On December 29, 2022, Jeonghyeon was introduced as a contestant of Boys Planet, which premiered on February 2, 2023. He ranked 15th place overall in the finale episode, thus being unable to debut with ZEROBASEONE. On August 3, 2023, Jeonghyeon was announced as a member of Boys Planets byproduct group EVNNE (then known as BLIT).
They made their debut on September 19, 2023 with the mini album Target: Me. On December 8, 2025, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that Lee Jeong Hyeon had signed with the agency and will continue his activities with EVNNE as an official group starting 2026.
