On January 10, 2022, Joohyoung was introduced as a member of the boy group NINE. i. They debuted on March 30, 2022 with the mini album New World.
On October 15, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Universe League. During the show's finale, he was eliminated, which aired on January 24, 2025. On March 11, 2025, it was announced that he had left NINE.
i. On January 16, 2026, he was identified as a member of new boy group DAILY:DIRECTION before he was officially introduced on January 21 under his birth name Kim Joo Hyoung. The group made their debut on February 23 with the single album "First:Delivery".
