On November 23, 2022, SuperEight's official Instagram and Twitter accounts were opened. An introductory video titled "Super 8 슈퍼에이트 : Dots" was uploaded to their YouTube channel and auditions for boys born before January 1, 2006 were also opened. The group was originally set to debut in 2023 but never materialized.
In April 2024, it was discovered that CTDENM were still casting trainees, the conditions required to audition are now to be a male between 14-22 years old of any nationality. On January 24, 2025, Ok Chang Hyeon announced that he signed with CTDENM and is part of the rookie group.
