On April 29, 2022, the company announced it would hold an Instagram Live for "APR PROJECT" on May 2 at 18:00 KST. On May 1, a timetable was released for the group, then known pre-debut as APR PROJECT. Two days later, the company released the first group's concept photo teaser for "Boyhood I S#1", the first installment of their pre-debut "Youth Trilogy" project titled "Sadness, Beginning, Flight".
It was released on June 6, 2022. In a interview with No Cut News, the group revealed that they are expected to debut at the end of 2022 or early 2023, after completing the "Youth Trilogy" and adding new members. On September 29, the company released a teaser for their second digital single "Boyhood I S#2", released on October 10 and featured songs with Ho Hyeon, another former member of TRCNG.
On January 10, 2023, a logo motion video was released and revealed the group's official name to be BXB (Boy By Brush). At the same time, their social media accounts were also updated with the new name. Later that same day, their agency confirmed the group would be debuting on January 30 as a five-member ensemble including new member June.
On January 13, a teaser scheduler was revealed for their first single album, "Intro: Flight and a New Beginning". On April 29, 2023, Wolfburn announced that June will be going on hiatus due to health issues. On July 20, 2023, a concept film was released for their second single album, "Chapter 1.
Our Youth", set to be released on August 3. They released their first English digital single, "Chapter 1. Our Youth (Twin Ver.
)", on August 9. On December 27, 2023, a promotion schedule was unveiled for their third single album, "Chapter 2. Wings", set to be released on January 11, 2024.
The pre-release single "The Black Cat Nero" was released on January 4. They released their first remix single "The Black Cat Nero (ASTER Remix)" on May 1. On February 16, 2025, a teaser photo was unveiled for their first Japanese digital single, "Chapter 3.
Journey", set to be released on February 19, 2025. On February 18, Japanese trainee Yuki was revealed to have joined the group with an official trailer for their first Japanese single "Chapter 3. Journey".
