Daehyun debuted on January 26, 2012 as a member of B. A. P.
On February 17, 2019, TS Entertainment stated that the four remaining members of B. A. P have all elected to not renew their contracts with agency.
On April 5, Daehyun released his first solo mini album, Chapter2 "27", and its title track "You're My". The album features Jaehan of SPECTRUM. On June 17, he signed with STX Lion Heart (now known as Lionheart Entertainment).
On December 5, he announced that his contract with Lionheart Entertainment has ended. On December 29, MA Entertainment announced that Jung Dae Hyun had signed with them to actively promote in diverse fields.
