In December 2008, he was introduced as a new member of XING, under the stage name Kipalang. He later made his debut as a part of the group's third generation lineup, with the release of their second single album "My Girl" on March 14, 2008. He presumably left the group in 2009, before the introduction of their fifth generation lineup in December of the same year.
On March 4, 2010, he debuted as a member of DGNA with the single album "Admiring Boy", under the stage name Jay. On January 13, 2011, he debuted as a member of their first sub-unit Popsicle with their self-titled single "Popsicle”. The group later went on an indefinite hiatus in 2017.
On December 21, 2023, NEWWAYS COMPANY announced that the three remaining DGNA members that appeared in Peak Time (Karam, Injun and Jay) have signed an exclusive contract with them and would be re-debuting in their new boy group in 2024, effectively disbanding DGNA. On January 16, 2024, he was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group ASC2NT. He later made his debut as a member of the group on May 7, 2024 with the single album "Expecting Tomorrow".
