In October 2017, Seongyeon became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE, representing iMe KOREA. He was eliminated in the seventh episode after ranking 66th place. In November 2018, Seongyeon participated in the survival show YG Treasure Box under Group B.
Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eighth episode. In May 2019, Seongyeon became a contestant on the survival show Produce X 101. He was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 45th place.
