On February 12, 2022, WITCHERS released the pre-debut COVID-19 hope song "Song for Overcome", sung by members Nariu and Saebom. On March 11, 2022, the group released the pre-debut OST "Love Letter" for the web drama Cinema Club, performed by Nariu, Saebom, and Roa. All three members, as well as former members Cha Yeju and U-Hyun, appeared in the drama.

On May 23, the group revealed new member Jiyoon, followed by Risia on May 25. With the addition of these members, the lineup consisted of Jiyoon, Nariu, Saebom, Risia, and Roa. The group released new profile pictures, updated their profiles, and announced plans to debut in July 2022.

However, on September 20, their debut was postponed due to members’ health issues and other internal problems. During the postponed debut, Roa went on hiatus, while Nariu was presumed to have left the group in early 2023 after creating public social media accounts. After over a year of inactivity, on September 2, 2023, WITCHERS appeared publicly with two new members, Seojin and Yeonkyong, unnoficially introduced via a South Korean skin clinic’s Instagram account alongside existing members Saebom and Roa.

On October 19, 2023, the group was spotted at an airport with an unidentified member, unofficially confirming the departure of Nariu, Risia, and Jiyoon. Later, on December 4, the group resumed public activities and began updating social media again, formalizing their new lineup, consisting of Yoosia, Roa, Yeonkyong, Hina (formerly Seojin), and Saebom. Since March 2024, the group became inactive once again.

In late 2024, the group’s official Instagram account unfollowed Roa after a prolonged period without updates, leading to speculation that she had left the group. Following her presumed departure, the remaining four members gradually began updating their personal social media accounts without mentioning WITCHERS. Eventually, all of the group’s official social media accounts were abandoned, signaling their unofficial disbandment.
