In October 2017, she became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE, where she would represent FAVE Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 55th place. On October 24, 2018, she was revealed as the fifth member of FAVEGIRLS.
On May 11, 2020, her profile photo for Weeekly was revealed. The group debuted on June 30 with the mini album We Are. On May 19, 2023, Soeun was revealed as a contestant on the Mnet reality survival show Queendom Puzzle.
The show's first episode premiered on June 13. On July 26, it was revealed that Soeun was among the first five contestants to be eliminated before the semifinals. On February 26, 2025, IST Entertainment announced that all Weeekly members have terminated their contract with them.
The future activities of the group remain undecided as of now.
