In March 2014, DN Entertainment started holding auditions to form a girl group. The group originally had a "theater performance-type idol" concept and would be performing and communicating with fans at their own theater daily, similar to AKB48. On January 15, 2015, the first teaser for VIVIDIVA was released, followed by individual teasers for each members at the theater.
On January 27, DN Entertainment started selling tickets for their upcoming "VIVIDIVA Episode S" concert and debut showcase scheduled in March. However, plans fell through and on February 16, DN Entertainment announced that the concert had been cancelled and their debut would be delayed indefinitely. Starting in May the group started promoting by busking with their supposed debut song "Sunshine", broadcasting on AfreecaTV and posting dance covers on YouTube.
Around June or July, Kana and N. Na left the group. On September 15, 2015, VIVIDIVA finally held a debut showcase and made their debut as a five-member girl group with the digital single "Service".
This was followed by their second digital single "VIVIDIVA Evolution 1" on October 30. On December 27, VIVIDIVA held their first solo concert at KT&G Sangsang Madang Live Hall. On March 24, 2016, DN Entertainment announced through the group's fancafe that they had disbanded.
