In September 2020, withHC revealed their pre-debut girl group VERITAS through a dance cover video of J. Y. Park and Sunmi's song "When We Disco".
On October 22, 2021, new members Kang Minji, Moon Jisoo and Yoo Heesu were revealed through a dance cover video. By the end of the year, Bae Sohyun and Shin Jiyi left the group due to unknown reasons. In early 2022, Moon Jisoo left the group to focus on her studies.
Later in May, Yoo Heesu also left the group due to unknown reasons. In July, according to Kang Minji, it was revealed that the group would not be debuting, and that the members were waiting until their contracts expired.
