On April 5, 2025, Sandbox Network's idol project, Project Solidarity Idol, was announced through YouTuber and game streamer Oa's broadcast. The already pre-selected project members were subsequently revealed as Bombing, Moca and Llangkko. From April 19 to 26, 2025, the first round of auditions began for the two additional members of Project Solidarity Idol.
The first round of auditions involved individual online interviews conducted by Sandbox Network. It was later announced that 10 candidates were selected to advance to the second round. The identities of the first round winners were not disclosed to ensure anonymity for the second round.
On May 8, 2025, the first offline half of the second audition was broadcast live at Sandbox Studio. Audition participants were anonymous and their real identities were indirectly revealed through silhouettes. The following day, on May 9, 2025, the six successful candidates for the online second half were announced, and consisted of: Sommyang, Ayaya, Lee Elly, Song Somi, Manyang and Ximong.
The third round of auditions testing broadcasting skills was conducted from May 10 to 16, 2025. The finalists were announced on May 19 as Sommyang and Manyang. On June 12, 2025, Baming left the group due to personal reasons, thus reducing the number of participating members to four.
On July 20, 2025, a contest for the official group name began. On September 21st, 2025, it was announced that UR:L had been chosen as the official group name. Eventually, UR:L made an official music debut on December 31, 2015 with the release of their first digital single "Chemical Love".
