In the summer of 2018, Seo Won became a contestant on the reality survival show, Music Love. She was unfortunately eliminated from the competition. In December 2020, Seo Won appeared as a contestant on the reality survival show, Miss Trot 2.
She was eliminated in the 1:1 death match in the second round of the finals. Sometime after the show, Seo Won signed a contract with Lean Branding and went onto make her official debut as a soloist on April 24, 2021, with the release of her first digital single, "Shoulder Dance". On July 13, 2023, Seo Won was announced as a contestant for the SBS survival show Universe Ticket.
During the show's finale, she was revealed to have ranked 5th overall, thus making her a member of UNIS. Seo Won made her debut as the maknae of UNIS on March 27, 2024 with the mini album We UNIS.
