In June 2003, The Color debuted with their self-titled album The Color. On December 3, the group released the Christmas EP Christmas Carol. In 2005, Eunbi and Tienjo left the group.
On October 26, the group returned with Shilly-Shally, a repackage of their first album. The group promoted the album in China. In 2006, Tammy and Sehwa left The Color.
Sehwa then debuted as a soloist under the name Sara. In July, 2006 it was revealed that The Color would rebrand into B. U.
T, an abbreviation of Beauty, Unique, and Talent. Alongside Xiao Di, Korean-American Amy and Jiyoung were added to focus on vocals, which was never The Color's strength. They were set to start promotions in late August.
Amy, Jiyoung, and Xiao Di would presumably leave in 2007. After the members of B. U.
T left Wooju Entertainment they would add Chinese member Ning Danlin and Korean members Cindy and Zhener. This lineup never released an album and The Color would presumably disband that same year.
