On April 6, 2024, it was announced that HYBE-owned company Supertone had launched the AI voice replication software Supertone Shift. The technology was previously experimented with and used for artist MIDNATT in his digital single "Masquerade" in which it demonstrated a transition between his own vocals and the vocals of an AI female singer. This was replicated into several languages, all using the translation capabilities of Supertone Shift.

According to Supertone and HYBE, this new tool, Supertone Shift, allows users to "immediately switch to their desired voice" from a library of ten predefined voices in real-time, with their voice analyzed for conversion "within a mere 10 seconds". On April 27, 2024, Supertone debuted their first virtual girl group SYNDI8 with the release of their debut single album "MVP". The voices of the four members were created using the technology of Supertone Shift.
