In September 2014, now-deleted posts across multiple Kiroy Company social media platforms revealed plans for the debut of a new girl group under the label, named Shiny Girls. Initially, the group consisted of Anna, Ayoung, Hayoung, Jisoo, Minji, Suyeong, and Suji. Throughout the latter half of 2014, the group maintained activity on now-deleted social media accounts and made frequent public appearances alongside staff from Kiroy Company and labelmates BTL and Ye-A.
During this period, the group's lineup underwent several changes. By November, they were primarily seen as a five-member unit. The group's public schedule became increasingly sparse by late 2014.
In December, it was reported that member Hayoung had departed and joined Ye-A, promoting under the new stage name Xiha. On January 22, 2015, official accounts were created on Facebook, Twitter and Daum Café, presenting Shiny Girls as a five-member group consisting of Ayoung (now using the stage name A-Reung), Jisoo, Minji, Suyeong and a new member, Yeojeong. Despite initial activity and brief performances, SG quickly disappeared from social media without any official explanation.
The group is presumed to have quietly disbanded due to financial and internal issues within Kiroy Company in early 2015. Following the disbandment of Shiny Girls, the members went their separate ways: - Hayoung later joined the labelmate group Ye-A under the stage name Xiha. - A-Reung, Minji, and Suyeong later re-debuted together in GIRLS GIRLS under the stage names Aryung, Rina, and Bori, respectively.
The circumstances of the other members are still currently unknown.
