SHA SHA was the first group to be formed by Major Entertainment. They were originally introduced as six, consisting of Go Woon, Seo Yeon, A Ryeom, I An, So Yeop and Hwi-A. On December 18, the group released the pre-debut single "White Story".
The song is a rearranged version of a song by H2L titled "Winter Story". Shortly after the release, Hwi-A decided to leave the group for unknown reasons. Her departure was never officially announced.
She was then quickly replaced by Ga Ram. SHA SHA made their official debut on February 27, 2018, with the single album "You & Me Forever SHASHA". The single also featured the b-side track "Sha Sha".
On July 30, the label announced that members I An, So Yeop and Ga Ram, decided to leave the group. They also revealed that they will be replaced by new members: Wan Lin, Cha Ki and Ha Kyung. SHA SHA made their first comeback on August 23, with the digital single "What The Heck".
During their album showcase, Wan Lin suddenly fainted due to a decreased blood flow. It was decided by the label that she would take a break for the rest of the single's promotion. On May 23, 2019, Major Entertainment announced that Wan Lin decided to leave the group due to health issues, while also introducing two new members: Sun Hye and Su Bin.
They also informed fans that the group will comeback soon. In early July, Cha Ki changed her Instagram profile description to "Former SHA SHA", confirming that she left the group. On July 17, Major Entertainment announced the group's disbandment through their fancafe, stating "differences in opinions about the group's concept" as the reason behind it.
All of the group's SNS accounts were deactivated/deleted on August 2.
