In 2014, Rose Queen was formed as a dance group under Rose. Q Entertainment. On February 17, 2017, they made their debut as a a girl group with the digital single "Hot In Here".
The lineup consisted of Jini, Seol, Shinyoung and Sunmi. In early 2018, Shinyoung left the group. In June 2018, Hyeji joined the group.
In September 2018, Seol and Sunmi left the group. In early July 2019, Lia joined the group after Hyeji departure.. On July 9, 2022, Gaeun joined the group.
On November 19, 2022, Ara joined the group. On March 15, 2023, Sera joined the group.
