REKIREM was formed sometime in January 2025 following the aftermath of the live idol survival program Girls Frontier, in which all four members competed as a member of team 'Daydream'. On January 31, 2025, they first showed themselves as a group. Soon afterwards, they officially introduced each member, beginning with Pichu, then Kyo, Aejeong and lastly Myai.
On February 11, REKIREM announced that they will be having a live stage debut at their REKIREM : 다시 시작하는 기적의 렘 event which will be held on March 8, 2025. Following their live debut, they revealed that they will be released their first digital single the same month. On March 24, 2025, REKIREM released their first digital single "Reality Link".
