Retune Music announced the debut of their upcoming new kids girl group on September 7, 2020 with no set date. The first member to be revealed was Swiss-Korean member Elody Loda. The first trailer for the upcoming single, "Balloon", featuring a short audio snippet was unveiled on September 16, 2021 which also featured new members Park Jeongwon, Son Sarang and Jung Eunchae.
It wasn't until February of 2021, that a music video was filmed for the single, titled "Balloon", and soon afterwards a second trailer was released. The single was finally officially released on June 6.
