On May 10, 2017, a teaser for P. O. P was posted on Twitter with the caption "#ComingSoon".
In the days that followed, additional teasers were released, but no members were revealed. In early June, all six members were announced and the group gradually began releasing pre-debut covers and content on small variety shows, a process that continued for a month. Shortly after the last cover, they released the first teaser for their debut with the music video teaser for "Catch You".

P made their debut with their first mini album Puzzle of POP. On August 1, it was announced that Yeonha would be taking a break from the group for the time being due to health issues, and that P. O.
P would be promoting as a five-member group. On September 18, as a five-member group, P. O.
P launched a crowdfunding project on MAKESTAR for a future comeback. Later, on the 25th, they released a short documentary titled P. O.
P Debut Story - Passion Of P. O. P -.
On October 24, it was announced that Yeonha had officially left the group due to health issues On January 3, 2018, the MAKESTAR project was successfully completed, surpassing its original goal at 229. 11%. However, no further updates were provided as MAKESTAR was unable to contact their agency.
The MAKESTAR project was later cancelled and P. O. P's comeback never materialized.
Since May, the group's SNS became inactive. A few months later, in November, the members opened their individual Instagram accounts. Therefore, it was assumed that the group had silently disbanded.
- Yeonjoo made her solo debut on April 8, 2021. She later re-debuted as a member of the duo lilli lilli, under the stage name of Luce. The duo disbanded on October 25, 2023.
- The remaining members appeared to have left the entertainment industry.
