On January 10, 2026, a video teaser for the then-upcoming virtual girl group OWIS, short for Only When I Sleep, was unveiled at the 40th Golden Disc Awards. The group would be managed by ama, the newly established entertainment agency of Lee Hae In, as their first artist and would be debuting in March 2026 with the track "Museum". On January 26, OWIS revealed their lineup to consist of the members Serene, Haru, Summer, Soi and Yuni.

On February 24, 2026, ama released a trailer video revealing the group would be debuting on March 23. On February 28, it was confirmed through reports that the group will be debuting with the mini album Museum. On March 23, OWIS revealed their official fandom name to be IZZ.
