Prior to debuting as an idol, Binnie was active as a child actress, beginning with the MBC drama I Love You, Don't Cry in 2008. She debuted as a member of OH MY GIRL on April 21, 2015 with the group's self-titled debut mini album. Binnie debuted as part of the group's special sub-unit, OH MY GIRL BANHANA, on April 2, 2018 with the special album Banana Allergy Monkey.
On January 19, 2022, WM Entertainment announced that Binnie changed her stage name to her real name Yubin.
