Sometime in 2003 or earlier, N. E. W.
S was formed by manager Lee Jung Hoon and included former singers of the MBC Choir, consisting of Jung Ju Hee, Lee Young Ha, Cho Yeon Ju and Do Yun Sook. Lee Jung Hoon envisioned a popular girl group that was made up of experienced adults in their late 20s, 30s and 40s, an age where usually popular female singers are expected to retire; and thus N. E.
W. S was created. Around mid 2003, their first and only studio album, Melody in Memory, was released.
It included 28 songs across 2 CDs, with 26 being remake songs and 2 being original. Not much else can be found about the girl group, but they disbanded sometime in late 2003 or 2004. The circumstances of Jung Ju Hee, Lee Young Ha and Cho Yeon Ju are unknown.
Do Yun Sook later changed her name to Do Ye Eun and became a member of the co-ed group Grape T which debuted on March 18, 2013 with the studio album Blossom. They disbanded sometime in 2015 or 2016. Later, she went onto become one-half of the female duo Lily Morning Star and debuted in the duo on February 8, 2019 and seems to currently still be active as a member.
