On August 26, 2021, upcoming project trot girl group LILAI revealed Chaeyun as the second member of their girl group through a reveal photo. In November 2021, Chaeyun appeared as a contestant as part of LILAI on MBN's trot singing show, Hello Trot. In mid 2022, Chaeyun was cast to appear as Saddo's fourth daughter in the musical 사딸라 〈사또의 딸을 가져라〉.
In late 2022, LILAI disbanded due to the web drama they were supposed to be cast in being cancelled. In the aftermath of LILAI's disbandment, Chaeyun went onto become a member of a new trot girl group Martini. On March 5, 2023, Chaeyun was featured as a guest singer on KBS 1TV's long-running singing show ' and was the episode's winning featured singer.
By the later half of 2023, Martini's debut plans were scrapped. Since then, Chaeyun's circumstances are unknown as her SNS accounts have been deactivated.
