She debuted as a member of Lovelyz on November 12, 2014 with the group's first album Girls' Invasion. On November 16, 2021, Lovelyz went on indefinite hiatus after the members' contracts expired. She decided to not renew her contract with Woollim.
On January 11, 2022, Sublime Artist Agency announced that Yein had signed on with the agency. She made her solo debut on January 25 with the digital single "Plus n Minus". On December 2 she released her second digital single "Bus".
On May 16, 2024, she was featured on fellow Lovelyz member Ryu Sujeong's digital single "Orange Juice". On May 31 she announced that she would be releasing her third digital single "I Will Be Your Spring" on June 4. On September 11, she released her fourth digital single "Dance With Me".
On March 25, 2025, she released her fifth digital single "My One and Only". On June 22, she released her sixth digital single "Gone Things". On September 30, she released a video teaser titled "In The Frame" with a "Coming soon" message.
A few days later, on October 2, SUBLIME announced her first solo concert, "IN the Frame", scheduled for November 29 and 30.
