Inspired by the emergence of transgender singer Harisu, Logi Entertainment decided to debut a transgender girl group named Lady with members selected from a pool of 400 applicants. In late 2004, Lady was formed as a trio, consisting of Sahara, Sinae and Binu. The debut was later delayed as the group decided to add a fourth member named Yuna, who was revealed for the first time on March 9 at the filming site of their debut music video.
On April 7, 2005, Lady made their debut with their first mini album Attention, which included the title track "Attention" and the follow-up track "Ladies Night". A total of 20,000 to 30,000 copies of the album was distributed for free in promotions for their debut. To commemorate the debut, they held a showcase at the nightclub Club Juliana in Gangnam, Seoul.
In order to create more publicity to catapult the group to stardom, Lady released a nude photobook titled Women, Reflect! and held a press conference regarding the photobook on June 2. According to the members, they made this decision after thinking it would be an opportunity for them to get recognition as real women and asked the public to look at the photographs as "works of art, not just a topic of conversation".
Despite negative response from the public in South Korea, Lady received a flood of love calls from Japan, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, etc. As a result, they began promotions overseas, as well as signing record deals to release full-length albums in these countries. In February 2007, it was reported that Lady had disbanded in August 2006.
According to the agency, their disbandment was largely due to the widespread prejudice against transgender people, which restricted their activities and caused the members to suffer emotionally. While the response from international fans had been surprisingly positive, the members' loss of motivation made it difficult to continue with the group.
