She debuted as a member of LABOUM on August 28, 2014 with the group's first single "Petit Macaron". In May 2022 she joined the cast of MBC's ' and subsequently debuted as part of the project group WSG Wannabe on July 16. On February 26, 2024, Soyeon was identified as a contestant on JTBC's upcoming female vocal survival show Girls On Fire.

She was eliminated during the first round of the show. On March 13, news outlet ET News reported that Soyeon is preparing to make her solo debut on March 29. Hours later, KH Company confirmed that she will be making her debut with the digital single "Goodbye" on March 29.
