In early 2019, Yumi became a member of ENTERONE and YCK Entertainment's kids girl group, Dream Candy. Though she did not record any official songs with the girl group prior to her departure in mid 2019, she was present as a member for a re-recording of the song "Children's Song", a track originally sang by child singer Song Yujin. The re-recording process was made into a music video in February 2019 which became available on YouTube on March 8, but is not listed on any music platform websites.
In November of 2020, she formed a project kids duo with You Bin to become I CAN FLY. They released their sole digital single "Wish" on December 17, 2020. Sometime 2021, Yumi became a trainee under OneCompany2020.
She was later introduced as the newest member of their kids girl group KIDOLS following the departures of members Elody Loda and Jenny Jung. She has yet to officially debut with the group.
