In October 2020, Choi Jungeun was announced as an upcoming contestant on the 2020 Mnet teen survival show, CAP-TEEN. On March 21, 2024, Choi Jungeun was confirmed as a upcoming contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, I-LAND 2, along with the other participating trainees, through the performance video. Her official profile was released the next day.

On July 4, 2024, she ranked 1st place by global votes and became a member of the girl group izna. She made her debut as a member of izna on November 25, 2024 with the mini album N/a.
