Sometime in early 2021, Nayoung was a trainee under Deep Studio Entertainment. She became a member of the agency's YOURS Rookies in which she was a contender to be promoted to the trainee group YOURS. However, she did not make it into the trainee group and left the company shortly after.
On September 27, she was revealed as the fourth member of Inter B. D Entertainment's then-upcoming girl group INTER GIRLS (tentative name) under the stage name Lua. However, sometime later in the year, she left the group.
On October 22, 2024, Nayoung was confirmed as a contestant on PI Corporation and Makestar's reality show Time Turner. On episode 3, her unit, PICKME, ranked last therefore eliminating her and the rest of her team.
