In early 2017, TURAN's remaining members, Hyejin, Haesol, Nael, Cherry and Sogeum, started promoting as HINT and signed a one-year contract with Thai comapny CRBIZ for promotions in Thailand. On March 31, HINT officially made their debut with their first digital single "TangTangTang" with two new members, U and Ar Ra. Their debut single was a trot-inspired song that was promoted on music shows and regularly performed for majority of 2017.
On December 17, U announced her departure from the group. Shortly after this, HINT announced their comeback and introduced a new member, ByeolA, on December 20. On January 3, 2018, HINT made their comeback with the mini album Walkie-Talkie.
Soon afterwards, they released a remake of their song "Love Beat" and promoted it on music shows as "Pang Pang Pang", their first special single. On May 16, HINT opened a crowdfunding project on Makestar for their next single album. While the project surpassed its goal and raised 5.
496. 999₩, HINT ended up not having a comeback and became inactive. During this time, Sogeum and ByeolA presumably left the group.
On October 5, 2020, HINT posted a comeback scheduler to their official Instagram account, announcing their first comeback in over two years with "Eh-Oh". Prior to the single's release, HINT appeared on Pops in Seouls My Rookie Diaries segment and revealed that "Eh-Oh" was a medium-tempo dance song, which is a deviation from HINT's usual concept, showing a more mature and sexy side of the members. On October 14, the group made their comeback with their 2nd digital single "Eh-Oh".
On September 27, 2022, Cherry announced on Instagram that HINT had disbanded by saying goodbye.
