On October 12, 2017, HI CUTIE made their debut with the digital single "Play U". On December 8, 2017, they made a comeback with the second digital single "White Winter". Later, Kim Ha Yeong left the group due to unknown reasons.
Sometimes in 2018, they revealed a new member, Yun Eun Gi. On May 2, 2018, they made a comeback with the third digital single "8th Grade Syndrome". In November 2018, Shin Eun Jeong left the group due to unknown reasons.
On February 13, 2019, they made a comeback with the fourth digital single "Valentine's Day". On March 13, 2019, they made another comeback with the fifth digital single "White Day". On December 3, 2019, they made another comeback with the sixth digital single "Lovely Day".
On June 16, 2020, they made a comeback with the seventh digital single "Try Again". On January 19, 2021, they made a comeback with the eighth digital single "After Winter". On May 4, 2021, they made another comeback with the ninth digital single "Gray Area".
On May 26, 2021, they made another comeback with the tenth digital single "Love Street". On October 14, 2021, they made another comeback with the eleventh digital single "Little Witch". In February 2022, Jung Chae Rin left the group due to wanting to do solo activities rather than being in a group.
On April 15, 2022, they made a comeback with the twelfth digital single "Circus". On March 23, 2023, the group's first sub-unit (Heo Yu Jin & Hwang Yun Jeong), HI CUTIE-J, made their debut with the digital single "No Thanks". On March 8, 2023 it was announced that from March to April, Yun Eun Gi will be on hiatus due to personal reasons.
On June 30, 2023 it was announced that Yun Eun Gi left the group, but will continue her solo activities under the agency.
