Sooyoung

Sooyoung originally debuted as a member of the Japanese-Korean duo route φ on April 26, 2002 with their first single "Start". The duo was short-lived, however, disbanding sometime in 2003. She debuted as a member of Girls' Generation on August 5, 2007 with the group's first single "Into the New World".

Sooyoung made her acting debut in November 2007 through the KBS2 sitcom Unstoppable Marriage. On October 9, 2017, SM Entertainment announced that Sooyoung, alongside Tiffany and Seohyun, had decided not to renew their contracts with the agency. On November 10, 2017, Echo Global Group announced that Sooyoung had signed on with the agency.
